I’ve been working hard getting some Teacher Gifts ready in the last few days. (Well Day Care lady gifts really).
I made & decorated these Triangle boxes….they are super easy but very effective. I hope the ladies at the Day Care will love them.

Great Friend Spinner Card
Last Saturday, we held our Quarterly Team Day in Bayswater. What a great afternoon we had. There was a great deal of Chin Wagging, Chocolate Eating and Laughing going on. Oh don’t forget the Stamping!
The projects we worked on were beautiful so I thought I would share some pics of them.

This is the Scrapbook Page. Isn’t it stunning. I just love it. We used Fifth Avenue Floral, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand. We also used the Eyelet Boarder Punch which is new in our Catalogue and very popular.

The technique we used here is called Chalkboard…..I’m sure you can see why. The thing I liked about doing this project is that all of us came away with cards similar – but different. This was because we all coloured our Fish, Seahorse, Words and Seaweed in different colours. They were all colourful and eye-catching. Some of us added glitter too which looked fantastic too.
We used Ocean Commotion and Wonderful Favourites. The colouring was done using Stampin’ Pastels.

The final project was this cute little box. We used Scribble This and Best Yet Stamp Sets. The sides of the box were all Sponged with Night of Navy Ink and the Ribbon is Bashful Blue Taffeta.
What a fun day we had. I’m sure we are all looking forward to our next get together.

I have been a long time follower of Kristina’s Colour Inspiration Challenges, but have never entered them… until now! What better time to start than with her Challenge #50 – and with a number of fantastic prizes up for offer as well!

These bold bright colours together were definitely out of my comfort zone, but I tried to make them work for me. The colours made me think of a brightly coloured child’s birthday card. I struggled with not having supplies (especially embellishments) in many of the colours, but managed to make do with what I had and create new things – like my circle frame!! I decided I wanted a circle frame, but without any circle cutting tools, I had to resort to tracing around some jars and careful cutting them out freehand! Hopefully they don’t look too rough!
The birthday cake and flowers are all propped up with Dimensionals and then I added a little half pearl to the middle of each flower to give it a little extra!
Hope you like it! Feel free to let me know what you think!

I’ve been on school holidays for the last two weeks which means I have had lots of spare time to stamp! I have lots of cards and photos to share, so thought I would post a few more photos before I go back to the busyness of the new term.
As I was saying in my last post, the Fifth Avenue Floral stamps are perfect for water colouring. I’ve been having a go at water colouring the different flower images and I think (I hope!) my technique is improving! It really is one of those techniques where practise makes perfect!
If you’re getting tired of the Fifth Avenue Floral images… I’ll try to show something different next time! I have been using my other stamps – but this set is definitely my new favourite!

I received my box of goodies from the new catalogue last Tuesday (very exciting!) and have been happily playing and creating! I thought I’d show some of the designs I have created so far.
These cards all use the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, plus a few greetings from the Upsy Daisy stamp set. When I first saw Fifth Avenue Floral in the new catalogue, I loved it and just had to have it! I had seen it on a number of US blogs before and it looked gorgeous. After having some creating time myself, I realised how versatile it really is. The stamps are great used individually as a focal point, as a background, to make your own designer paper, for paper piecing or for watercolouring.
These designs all use a similar colour scheme, which was taken from the new Catalogue – it really is great for inspiration!

Since Easter is over and the recipients have now received their funky little bags I thought I’d share them with you all. Plus, it gives me an excuse to put up a post
My daughter and I made the bags so there are some that have her 4 year old flare…she wants to help out so badly!
They are basically an envelope, sealed shut with one of the sides cut off to make a bag. I then stamped them, filled them with chocolate, punched two holes at the top and tied them up with some ribbon. The stamp sets used were Greetings Eight from the new catty for the little bunny rabbit which I then coloured in using my aqua painter. I made that into a tag and hung it from the ribbon with the linen thread. The bags were stamped with a couple of stamps from the All-Year Fun stamp set. As I don’t have the new in-colour ribbons yet I used some from last years catalogue. The new in-colour ribbon is high on my wish list!
They were made pretty quickly so the colours don’t match exactly. I kind of made them as I went and with a 4 year old bouncing around, throwing stamp pads all over the place, trying to stamp anything on the table (you get the idea!) I didn’t have the time to think about the ribbon not matching the ink colours. Oh well, next time…

Hi Everyone,
This is my first blog ever and I thought I would start by sharing with you what I did for my Stampin’ Up! 2009-2010 Catalogue launch last Friday night.
I started off with everyone browsing through the catalgue, we played some games then finished off with making a card using the new stamps from the “Fresh Cuts” set & easter gifts.
I thought I would share with you some of the cards I made for the games. They come from ideas from the catalogue & I got everyone to see if they could find the matching page in the catalogue to the card I showed. I gave gifts to the person who found it 1st. You can play along too.
The 1st card is using the “priceless” stamp set. The colours are Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White. There is a double page spread in the catalogue using the same colour scheme, can you find it?
The 2nd card I used the bird from “Fun & Fast Notes” & coloured it in using blender pens & Stampin Pastels. The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red & So Safron. There is a nearly identical card in the catalgue. Can you find it?
For the 3rd card I liked the colours used on a double page spread in the catalogue. I wondered how I could use all the colours & came up with this one. The stamp set is “Pick a Petal”. Colours used are Baja Breeze, Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink & Whisper White. Can you find the same colour combo used in the catalogue?
Anyway, hope you had fun scanning the catalogue as much as my guests did. It is great how you can use the catalogue for ideas isn’t it!!
Narelle xx
